Hey there!

I'm Reem – a copywriter, content writer, and writing coach.

That’s always been me – a multi-passionate person who just can’t seem to stick to one thing. And I’m not just talking about ice cream flavors (although Ferrero Rocher is my current favorite).

I believe in tapping into ALL of who you are to create a life and business you love, so I don’t believe in limiting myself to just one title.

But if you think about it, my 3 areas of focus share a common thread: they’re all about harnessing the power of words to create change.

Throughout my life, the impact of getting words right has always caught my attention – and so did getting them wrong. I was always fascinated by how:

icon

The same words could have such different meanings depending on which language they were spoken in.

icon

A single word could be interpreted in so many ways, even when everyone involved was speaking the same language.

icon

Strings of words put together could make people laugh, cry, or nod their heads in agreement – sometimes all at the same time.

icon

A phrase or sentence could be misheard or misunderstood, leading to big (and often hilarious) mix-ups.

icon

Certain words spoken at the right (or wrong) time could make or break a deal, start or end a war, or save or destroy a relationship.

Then I noticed that this applies to the business world too.

icon

A well-crafted tagline can stay in people’s heads long after they’ve forgotten the product it was selling.

icon

A poorly-phrased social media post can do irreparable damage to a company’s reputation.

icon

A well-written, personalized email can land you a meeting with a potential client, while a badly written one could lose you the deal.

icon

A compelling “Our Story” page can make people fall in love with your brand, while a boring or self-centered one will have them clicking away faster than you can say “conversion rate.

The list goes on, but the concept is the same: words are powerful.

So in 2019, I decided to turn my lifelong fascination with words into a career. Since then, I’ve been on a mission:

"Turning words into profit-producing content and copy for businesses by sharing their unique stories and selling their products/services with clarity, confidence, and a whole lot of personality."

Simply, I make sure you get the words right and watch them work wonders for your business– real, tangible wonders that sparkle.

I BELIEVE IN:

Things always working out for the best (even if they don’t seem like it at first).

I'm NOT ABOUT:

Doing things in a certain way just because it’s “the way it’s always been done”.

YOU CAN FIND ME:

A Sneak Peek Into Reem ... The Person

Aside from all the “professional” stuff, you might be wondering who this Reem person is and what she’s like when she’s not in “work mode.” Let me give you a little peek into my world.

I was born in Rome, but I’m Egyptian. I actually don’t have any memories of Rome, though – and I get shocked when I see myself in photos taken there as a baby. My family moved back to Cairo when I was still a baby, and that’s where I grew up (for the most part).

Yes, that means I speak Arabic fluently.

But fun fact: I don't write in Arabic. I can, but not in the copywriting/content writing style – just day-to-day, conversational Arabic.

Remember when I said “for the most part” about growing up in Cairo? That’s because I didn’t spend my entire childhood there. I was basically raised all over the world–I’ve lived in Rome, New York, and Paris, too.

That’s why I don’t write in Arabic–because I didn’t exactly grow up reading or writing it–just speaking it.

I grew up reading and writing in English, which is why I consider it my “native” language.

Even my education was in English, from elementary school all the way through my bachelor’s degree, and that’s why writing in English comes so naturally to me.

Since I was a child, I‘ve always penned my thoughts on paper...

I wrote poems, stories, diaries, and even cartoon scripts (I wrote an Arthur script once, and my mom still has it somewhere). I’ve also always been a huge bookworm, and I think reading so much growing up definitely influenced my writing.

Then, in school and university, I started taking an interest in writing “serious” stuff, like essays and articles.

My teachers, professors, and even my classmates always praised my writing, and I’d choose writing assignments over any other type, hands down (especially math assignments – ugh!).

So yes, I was that kid in school who loved English class and got excited about writing essays, and the one who would correct people’s grammar and point out typos…

But believe it or not, it never occurred to me to turn my passion into a career or make a living out of writing.

I mean, seriously – who gets paid to write? Only “real” writers, right? The kind that have books with their names on them and get interviewed by Oprah.

I was so wrong...

It wasn’t until after I graduated from university and started working in the corporate world that I realized that maybe – just maybe – I could turn my passion for words into a profession.

So I did. And let me tell you – I’ve never looked back since.

Other than that, I think the most significant thing you should know about me is that I’m a literal perfectionist.

I’m not saying this to brag and have you think, “wow, she’s so amazing; her work must be flawless.” I’m saying this because it’s a personality trait that often gets in my way.

It doesn’t matter how long it takes me or how many revisions it goes through–I refuse to release anything into the world that isn’t high quality and 100% “me”.

That includes making sure every comma, period, and semicolon is in its rightful place–all the way to revising your brief a million times (at which point I’ve almost memorized it) to make sure nothing (even the tiniest, most insignificant thing) is left out or misunderstood.

So what does that mean for you?

It means that when you work with me, you get the full Reem package. You’re not just getting someone to write some words for you (although, of course, that’s part of it). You’re working with a partner who is as invested in your project and your success as you are.

So if you’re looking for someone to just “pump something out quickly,” I’m probably not your girl.

But if you want someone who will take the time to understand your business, your target audience, and your goals–and turn all of that into words that produce results–then we should probably work together.

Okay, Can She Actually Walk the Talk?

“Words are her thing, but does Reem have any tangible proof that she knows what she’s doing?”

Honestly, good question. I could go on and on about how passionate I am about words and how writing is my lifeblood–but at the end of the day, why should you trust me (along with the client love I’ve been fortunate enough to receive)?
